The name "Gadi" has a personal touch—it comes from a nickname that Sneya Arun and her Thrissur besties used to call each other. "Gadi" means "close friend" or "buddy," and it perfectly reflects the spirit of the platform. Just like how friends share food, laughter, and experiences together, Foodie Gadi is all about bringing people together to share delicious recipes, cooking tips, and the joy of food.
Career Experience
Before fully dedicating herself to Foodie Gadi, Sneya Arun had a successful career in the HR department of some renowned organizations, including Aster Group and Saudi German Hospital. Her roles in these institutions involved managing human resources, engaging with employees, and shaping organizational culture. However, as her passion for food grew, Sneya realized that her true calling lay in sharing her love for Kerala's traditional culinary delights with the world.
In 2018, she made the bold decision to leave her corporate career behind and focus entirely on Foodie Gadi. This transition allowed her to dedicate more time to creating engaging cooking videos, sharing authentic recipes, and interacting with food lovers from all around the world. Her goal is to inspire others to recreate Kerala’s rich food culture at home, explore regional flavors, and make cooking a delightful experience for everyone.
